
Salvail Roland L. Salvail, 79, of Port Orange, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday evening July 30, 2016 at Caring Hands in Deltona, Florida. He was born and raised in West Warwick. Rhode Island.
Roland was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was in the Navy for 32 years before retiring in 1985 as a Master Chief and was very proud to be a Veteran.
In 1958 Roland married his wife Dolores and together they raised four children. As a Navy family, they traveled and lived in Jacksonville, Florida, Patuxent River, Maryland, and Memphis, Tennessee before settling in Brunswick, Maine. In his retirement years, he moved to Port Orange, Florida with his wife.
Roland was predeceased by his daughter, Denise Salvail, his parent, Damasse and Cecile Salvail, and his brother, Roger Salvail.
He is survived by his wife Dolores, four sons David Salvail, Tom Salvail, John Salvail and wife Pamela, and Mike Salvail; grandchildren Brady Salvail, Brooke Salvail, Austin Salvail, Joey Salvail, Jennifer Salvail, Benjamin Salvail, Whitney Salvail, Conner Salvail, and Olivia Salvail. He is also survived by a sister, Jean Salvail, and two brothers, George Salvail and Gerard Salvail.
The burial was held at Arlington National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
