Manuel Andrada Abenojar
September 12, 1926 – November 2, 2019
Manuel Macedonio Andrada Abenojar, Sr., born September 12, 1926 entered Eternal life on November 2, 2019 after a brief illness and was surrounded by his loving family. He was a World War II Veteran, who served his country under the Philippine Army and also served as a policeman in the Philippines. He was a resident of Ventura County for 40 years.
He was born in the Philippines and came to live in the United States of America and established his residency in Oxnard in 1979.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, his son and his granddaughter. He is survived by seven children, twenty-three grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, many relatives and close friends.
He enjoyed watching Martial Arts and going to Chumash Casino. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was the protector and provider of the house. He was strict but generous. He was God-fearing and prayed his Rosary daily and prayed for his family a lot.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 6, and Thursday, November 7, at Funeraria del Angel in Oxnard from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 8, at Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Oxnard at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Cemetery in Ventura.
