Constance L. Vadnal
November 11, 1932 – March 22, 2020
Constance (Connie) Vadnal, 87, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020, in Palm Bay, Florida. She was born on November 11, 1932, in Cleveland, Ohio, and was a resident of Melbourne, Florida for over 30 years. She is survived by her sons, John (Tina) Vadnal of Forest, Virginia and Michael Vadnal of Cooper City, Florida; daughter, Mary (Victor) Juarez of Edgerton, Ohio; and grandson, Joshua Creed of Forest, Virginia. She had previously been married to Slovenian Polka King Johnny Vadnal and Judge Russell Seay (Broward County, Florida). She was the daughter of Louis and Louise (Mandel) Spehek.
Connie graduated from Collinwood High School in Cleveland, Ohio, and spent most of her life as a Court Reporter, primarily as co-owner of Record Reporting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She was known for her annual Christmas parties in March or April when most of the judges could attend, and for roller skating through the halls of the Broward County Court House (1980). She loved bicycling, travelling, and spending time at the beach and mountains. She was an avid reader, often reading a book a day, and loved listening to music – especially that of Frank Sinatra. She also loved cats, especially Siamese, and had one or more cats as pets for over 50 years.
She will be remembered fondly for her sense of humor, giving spirit, continual friendship, persistent encouragement, and her home library.
A graveside service is scheduled for July 8, 2020 at 11:00 am at Fountainhead Memorial Park, 7303 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, Florida 32909. Interment of her cremated remains will follow.
