Frank was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 5, 1928 to Mary and John Cristadoro. He was one of four children and he had three sisters.
Frank served his country in the Air Force. He was an airman first class and supported the Berlin Airlift.
Frank’s love of food started his long career in the food service industry. Frank started at the age of seven working for his uncle selling mozzarella cheese to housewives in the Catskills; this led to a job at the Burry Cookie factory in Newark, New Jersey. That led to his short lived driving career delivering food. Frank lost his eye sight in 1959. Eventually, Frank started his own business serving breakfast and lunch at the Sears in Trenton, New Jersey then moved to the DEP building in Trenton. Frank’s friendly nature, his dedicated co-workers, his sharp business acumen and happy customers led to his success. Frank’s seeing eye dog, Tice was faithfully by his side every day.
Frank belonged to the Presbyterian Church of the Good Shepard in Melbourne, Florida. He was a PER (Past Exalted Ruler) of the Edgewater Elks, was also a proud member of the Masons.
Frank was never limited by his blindness. He would try anything including golf, painting, and cards. He followed all the Florida football teams as well as the Philadelphia Eagles. He was an avid reader with the help of books on tape provided by the Association of the Blind.
Frank is survived by his wife, Mary and their son, Robert and his wife, Susan. Frank has two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He has three step-children, two step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.
A special memorial service will be held at the Fountains of Melbourne, Stack Blvd. at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 21, 2019. Funeral services are also to be held on Saturday at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay Florida 32909. The visitation begins at 2:00 pm and funeral service begins at 3:00 pm.
