Carolyn C. Doran

Carolyn C. Doran, 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 5, 2012. Born in Philadelphia, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Antonio & Concetta Cicchini. She pursued a nursing career & graduated from the Chester County School of Nursing, where she met her husband John B. Doran; with whom she shared 50 years of marriage until his death in 1998. Carolyn worked at the Visiting Nurse Association in West Chester for 20 years. She touched many lives: helping patients, with providing kind compassionate heartfelt care. Carolyn retired to Melbourne, FL with her husband. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, travel, dancing, playing cards but mostly her faith, family & friends. After the passing of her husband, Carolyn returned to Pennsylvania to be closer to her grandchildren. Her intention each day was to do something nice for somebody else. Carolyn is survived by 2 children: John B. Doran, Jr. & Jane Doran DaPrix wife of Daniel A. DaPrix; 2 grandchildren: Annalyce & Daniel DaPrix of whom Carolyn loved so dearly. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Thurs. Sept. 13th 10AM, at St. Joseph’s RC Church: 338 Manor Ave., Downingtown, PA. No calling hours are scheduled. Inurnment will follow at Philadelphia Memorial Park; Frazer, PA.
