Helen M. Guerra

Hummy Helen Marie (née Gustafson) Guerra, of Morgantown, PA passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. She was born Helen Marie Gustafson, but was given her own name, as special and unique as she, by her brother Bill, and the life of Hummy began. Born in Delaware County, Pennsylvania in 1948 to Wilbur and Anna Gustafson. She is survived by her son and daughter, David DiFabio and Dianna Guerra, as well as her brother and sister in law William and Rose Gustafson. At the time of her death, she had 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A lover of her children, animals, family and friends, Hummy always knew how to make everything special and memorable. Whether it was parties, a day at the beach, Fourth of July parades or just a boring Saturday night, she added that extra special touch that made everything magical. Her smile and laugh could light the darkest room and her touch could calm the most anxious heart.

Relatives, friends and anyone wishing to pay their respects may join us for an open house memorial luncheon in Paoli, PA on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 2-5pm where we will share stories, look at photos and other memories from her life and celebrate Hummy. At 3pm anyone wishing to say a few words will be given an opportunity to do so. Please contact Dianna Guerra @[email protected] for the luncheon location. A private Christian Mass and Burial will be held prior.

Skydog Sanctuary is located out west where they rescue, rehabilitate, reunite and release wild mustangs. They are on the front lines saving these beautiful animals where Hummy would’ve joined them if she could.
