Virginia Ann (Boch) Bus, 84, of Wayne died May 3rd, 2021, at Paoli Hospital from complications related to COVID-19. Best known as Ginny, her early childhood was spent in Springfield PA. She moved to the Wayne area for middle school and graduated from Radnor High School in 1955.

Ginny spent 1 year at the University of Vermont where she met her future husband Barney B. Bus. After transferring to the University of Pennsylvania, she completed her degree in Dental Hygiene in 1959. Ginny worked as a dental hygienist and then was married in 1962. She decided to stay at home and focus on raising her three children. Mrs. Bus returned to the workforce and had a nearly 30-year career working for Drs. Stanley Horwitz and Howard Rosenberg in pediatric dental hygiene.

A longtime member of The Martin’s Dam Club, Mrs. Bus enjoyed spending time playing tennis and sitting by the pool. She loved visits to the Jersey Shore where she could read on the beach for hours. Later in life she volunteered for Surrey Services, enjoyed playing bridge, and loved to support her grandchildren by attending their many events and sports.

Mrs. Bus is survived by her three children Frank Bush and his wife, Victoria, Laura Polk and her husband, David, and Andrew Bus and his wife, Sherri Floyd; her grandchildren Stephanie Walker and her husband, Wesley, Rachel Fox, Katherine Polk and her fiancé, Mitchell Palmer, Dorothy and Robert Polk, and Henry Bus. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Irene Boch, her brother Leinau Boch, and her husband of 41 years Barney Bus.

Mrs. Bus will be remembered most for her crazy sense of humor, long tennis career, lifelong love of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, and her evening ‘splash’. She was the best mom and grandma who loved to support and spend time with her family.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 from 10-11:30 a.m. with a brief memorial service from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Alleva Funeral Home, 1724 E. Lancaster Ave., Paoli. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Ginny’s name to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org).
