I remembered Cherry from when I was a little girl visiting my grandparents in Pattonville. My daddy Joe Oldham, sister Jo Margaret and myself spent couple of summers with grandparents while Mother worked on Masters in Denton.
When my Aunt Wanda was buried few years ago, I did get to see Cherry and her sister Barbara. Praying for family that the Comfortor will wrap loving arms around them.

Cherry was my first mother in law and the grandmother of my children. She was a wonderful woman who put her love for the Lord and family above all else. I loved her very much just knowing she was there was comforting to me. We will carry on and I look forward to meeting for eternity one day! Proverbs 31 beginning with verse 10 describes Cherry as she was a virtuous woman in every aspect of her life!

I am the daughter of Doris McDowra Young. As a young girl my [.Grandma Ruby] brought me to Cherry's Beauty Shop. To get a haircut. My last time was in 1974. It was my 8th grade graduation. Cherry always made me feel so special. She will always hold a special place in my heart. My prayers are will all of you. Love Lynda

I always loved coming in summer and Aunt Cherry taking us to pick blackberries and putting sugar on them, and playing in her beauty shop. Only good memories of her..
