Alma Faye Armstrong

She was born in Midway, Texas and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. She was a wonderful mother and she loved her family and friends and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her brothers and sisters. She enjoyed country music, shopping, and lifetime movies. She also loved her red lipstick, crystal wine glasses, and high heel boots.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Howell and Oma Starns; her loving husband, Leland Armstrong; brothers, Wayne, Leroy, Lamar, James and sister, JoAnn.

She leaves behind her children, Susie (Billy Henry) of Livingston, TX, David (Denise Falls) of LaPorte, TX, Charles Falls of Pasadena, TX, Mary (Frank Guerra)of Pasadena, TX, Lisa Fowler (Jimi) of League City, TX, Jeanie Armstrong (James) of Pasadena, TX; 12 Grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Sue (Jack Bowen) of Giddings, TX, Gerald Starns of LaPorte, TX, Glenn Starns of LaPorte, TX, Sylvia (Dale Peters) of Pasadena, TX and numerous nephews and nieces.

The family would like would to thank Paramount Staff for the love and care they gave her, Joe D. and Dr.Tran, who never gave up on her.

The visitation will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home. Chapel services to follow at 3:00 p.m. with interment at Grand View Memorial Park.
