Constance Diane Marquis was born on July 29, 1941 in Washington D.C. to parents William Melville Smith and Myrtle Antoinette Smith and is the 3rd of 4 children. Her career started with a job at a bakery in Washington D.C., then moving to Texas and getting married to A.C. Marquis on July 21, 1967, they were married for 17 years. She had 3 children, 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She later worked at Walgreens in Deer Park where she retired after serving for 25 years of faithful and loyal service of excellence. After retirement, she enjoyed family gatherings, game nights, crafting, and woodworking. She gave attention to the homeless and nursing homes, making blankets. She had ladies’ luncheons and block parties always having an ear to listen and always asking everyone to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

She was a faithful member of First Assembly of God in La Porte. She loved to listen to worship music and would say the most important events in her life were accepting Jesus, marrying the Love of her life, and having 3 children. She was giving, caring, jubilant, feisty, artistic, and hardworking. Her achievements were expert marksmanship, lifetime woodworker, craft enthusiast, and Farkle and air hockey pro!
