Elizabeth Ann Gumm, 78, of Pasadena, TX went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 10, 2020. She was born on September 27, 1941. She the youngest of three children born to Everett Van Hawes, Sr. and Bennie Hawes.
Elizabeth attended Pasadena High school and attended Sam Houston State University. While there, she enjoyed being in her sorority. She loved playing piano and tennis. Elizabeth went on to receive her certificate from University of Houston for Engineering Design and began her career as a piping designer.
Throughout her life, she lived in the Pasadena, Houston, and Tomball area.
In 2015, she retired and began enjoying her time with her daughter, shopping and going out to eat at Pecos Grill and visiting with friends there. Elizabeth was smart, bright, independent, thoughtful, and encouraging. She was a strong believer in the power of prayer.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her father, Everett Van Hawes, Sr.; mother, Bennie Hawes; brother, Everett Van Hawes, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa and husband Kevin Kleb; son, Stephen Gumm; grandsons, Chase Sanders and Brian Kleb; brother, Don Hawes; and sister-in-law, Autumn Hawes.
An inurnment service will take place on Tuesday August 4, 2020 at Grand View Memorial Park at 2:00pm.
