Millie Speck-Clayton passed away on September 12, 2010 in Pasadena, TX. She was born on April 22, 1927 in Hale Bank-Widnes, England to the union of Frank and Maude Payne. Millie is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 57 ½ years, Lester Speck; and siblings, Freddy Payne, Jimmy Payne, and Rhoda Gwilliam. She is survived by her husband of 2 years, Jack Clayton; children, Lester Speck and wife Judy; Avlyn Bolton and husband Michael; Robert Speck and wife Virginia; and James Speck; brother, Albert Payne and wife Ellen; grandchildren, David Speck, Daniel Speck, Michael Murphy, Scott Murphy, Timothy Murphy, Richard Bennett, Russell Bennett, Katheryn Bolton, James Bolton, Robert Wayne Speck, Crystal Denman, Crystin Carothers, Sydney Speck, James Q. Speck, Robyn Wright; several great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Sandra Wylie. Millie was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church, and will be greatly missed by her church family.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 P.M. at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 9:00 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church-6435 Fairmont Pkwy. Pasadena, TX 77505.
