Peggy Spasic went to be with her Lord on June 29, 2020, in Plymouth, IN. Peggy was born on March 15, 1925 in Elk City, Oklahoma, to Ted & Mary Cochran. She had two brothers, Willard and T. R., and one sister, Shirley. After early years of typical Oklahoma farm life, she headed off to Warner Pacific College to pursue her dream to become both a public school and a Christian education teacher. She earned a B.A. degree for each of those and later earned a M.A. in education.
In 1960, with sons Larry & Paul in tow, she married Dobri Spasic and added another son, Zoran, and a daughter, Gina to the tribe. The Spasic family celebrated their first Christmas at their home in Pasadena, Texas, in 1960. Peggy taught public elementary school for 25 years, and Sunday School at church for many more years, and also wrote Sunday School curriculum for the Church of God, Anderson, IN.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be missed very much. She had grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren (too many to name here) whom she loved and engaged with to the hilt. As a godly woman and devoted Christ-follower she is now enjoying her reward in heaven with her Lord and loved ones gone on before. Through her example and life she leaves us all with a legacy of living life with integrity and God-honoring purpose.
