October 7, 1965 – March 27, 2021
Taria Gillian Raper, 55, of Brandon, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at her home.
Ms. Raper was born October 7, 1965, in Ashland, Kentucky. A daughter of the late Eddie Joe Gillian and Lynda Jane Lynch.
Ms. Raper, with her family, moved to Jackson in 1973, where she attended Jackson Public Schools.
She was a caregiver most of her life, working the last 9 years for a very special patient and friend, Ms. Gayle Martin, whom she loved dearly.
Her hobbies were reading, cooking, baking, interior design, online shopping, crafting, catering, and decorating for events and holidays. She loved good food and socializing. She lived for family get togethers and playing games. Her laugh was infectious, her smile would light up a room, and anytime spent with her grandsons was a highlight of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Kendall Raper; mother, Lynda Tolar; daughter, Chelsea McClanahan (Randall); three grandsons that she loved with her whole heart and affectionately called "her babies", Zeke McClanahan, Braedyn McClanahan, and Carter Miles; brothers, Gary Gillan (Janice), and Richard Gillan; stepchildren, Ariana "A.J." and Charlie Raper; and a life-long friend that was very special to her, Alan Kane; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

My favorite memory of Tiara was in middle school... she was in love!! Taria never had any problems in the boy friend department. She and Roland Phillips were
head over hills for one another. Those are some wonderful memories of all of us going skating.... never knowing some of those friendships would be life long.
