Visitation will be 11:00am-1:00pm, Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Celebration of Life services will follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel with interment in Lakewood Memorial Park.
She was born October 1, 1927, in Scott County, a daughter of the late Lindsey and Allie McDill. Viola was a loving, Christian mother and grandmother, and an honorable member of the Baptist faith. Her caring nature and heart for service to others served her well in her career as a nurse’s assistant. Never one to be idle, following her retirement she loved to be on the go and was always up for a road trip.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wootton; son, Woody Wootton; grandson, Mike Leach, Jr.; and great-granddaughter, Mary Hannah Wootton.
Survivors include daughters, Sandra Leach and Vicky Jennings (Morris); son, Danny Wootton; brother, Jimmy Lee McDill (Sue); 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
