Born May 19, 1937 in Pekin to Hilton B. and Gertrude M. (O’Donnell) Hannan; she married William J. “Bill” Pescaglia on September 7, 1957 in Pekin. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2016 in Manito.
Also preceding in death were two infant sons and her brothers, Albert and Donald Hannan.
Surviving are her son, Terry Pescaglia of Manito and grandson, Jace Bland.
Mary was a 1956 graduate of Pekin Community High School and always active with reunion planning.
She was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan and was thrilled to watch them win the 2016 World Series with Terry. Mary loved little dogs and adopted many over the years.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.
Above all, Mary was a proud and devoted mother. She was always the biggest fan at Terry’s youth sports events and was a “second mom” to many of Terry’s lifelong friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Green Valley Cemetery in Green Valley. Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 am Thursday at Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin.
Memorials are suggested to TAPS in Pekin.
