Larry always brought his unique sense of humor into the many projects I was involved with at BCBS. He was a great guy and his peers always respected him. He will be missed.

Remembering the blue and white Hawaiian shirts that Larry got for the women's softball team to wear in the Memorial Day tournament in St. Augustine. What a fun guy!

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you. Thanks for being s special friend back in the days of the old West End Group; nobody could hit a softball farther than "GAR' name he carried before "BIG" in which Henry Gaulden gave him. Also he was a terror on the basketball court. You will be missed my brother. Bo (Loy Ira)Burton

Remembering a friend I have known for a long time but really bonded with over the last few years. I will miss his conversations about movies during our friend group lunches and him anxiously waiting to show off photos of his precious grandson. I will miss you Larry! May God give peace and comfort to the Gardner family.

This is very numbing news as the memories run so very deep. Where to begin? To call LG a friend or associate seems so very shallow and disrespectful to the quality of the memories. Softball, golf, bridge, deck building or computer programming? We were young once when we moved to the “new” Blue Cross facility in Riverchase in 1978 and shared breakfast in the “new” cafeteria as we pondered life's mysteries and opportunities. And now Goodbye? It truly seems like moments and grossly unfair as the time has truly slipped away. Thanks for good memories my friend, I will miss you.

Larry is a special friend to Tim and me. We have so many great memories and stories to remember our friend. Larry is in a way part of our family. Laura and Daniel I am so sorry for your loss. Larry loved his children so much, he had a special smile reserved just for the mention of the names of Laura and Daniel. We will always keep a special place in our heart and memory for our friend.

Laura and Daniel, I want you to know how special your Dad was to so many of us. We gathered for a "Code Blue" in his honor last night and shared many stories about Larry. I remember him as being a gentle giant. And always a gentleman around me. Just a quick note to Larry...You had a great time last night! I hope your Heaven allowed you to join us and enjoy that gin & tonic with which we toasted you. You had a great time, as did your friends.

Larry was a special cousin to me Actually I said that he was the big brother that I never had. He was nice enough to help us with a garden for the last few years. Always made us laugh mother and I were not very helpful with changing parts on the tractor. Will miss him very much. Sheila Malone (Hayden, Al)

Grew up with Larry, went to school and played ball with him, Ronnie Mize, and Randy Glenn. Proud to have known him.
