Mr. Jamison was born in Birmingham, Alabama on December 30, 1934 and attended Ramsey High School where he played his favorite game, football.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald E. and Anne M. Jamison and his brothers, Robert and Donald Jamison.
Ed had a career in television for 40 years as the news director at Channel 13 WAPI/WVTM during which he earned three Emmy awards and directed the Bear Bryant Show. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Alice Jamison, two children, Stephen Jamison and Julie Jamison, his step-daughter, Shelly Tinsley, grandchildren, Sarah Tinsley, Matthew Varns, and Molly Varns, as well as many great-grandchildren and cousins. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He had a passion for Alabama football and was proud to list Bear Bryant as one of his dear friends. He also had a passion for golf which he passed on to his son and daughter-in-law. Ed had a love for all animals and had two Yorkshire Terriers, Bachus and Dolly. Bachus, was his best friend.
