On Monday, July 27, we said goodbye to a leader of a by gone era. Cloyce Leon Godwin, 86, passed with his loving family at his side. Leon, to those who knew him, was the owner of a one-man barbershop where the world’s problems were solved though political correctness was not necessarily adhered to. Leon is survived by his wife; Marjorie Godwin, sons; Clyde (Susan) Godwin, and Stanley (Gay) Godwin, Daughters; Wanda (William) Pickens, Rita Hughes, and Sondra Godwin, brother; Thomas Godwin, Sister; Linda Averill-Bell. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation to be held Friday July 31, 2015 from 6-8:00 pm with Rosary Service at 6:00 pm, Funeral Service Saturday August 1, 2015 at 10:00 am at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, with burial to follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
