James Lewis Gorum

James Lewis Gorum, of Pensacola, FL passed away on March 5, 2018. He was born in Georgiana, Alabama on October 8, 1925.

James served in the United States Navy and United States Army through WWII and the Korean War. He was also a teacher for the Escambia County School system for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eron Smith and Wilton Gorum; and sister, Bettie Ann Booker.

James is survived by his loving wife, Betty J. Gorum; sons, George, Jonathan, and Jeff Gorum; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will take place from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment with Navy honors will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery.
