He earned his BA in sociology at the University of West Florida, and a MBA in Public Administration from Webster University. Craig proudly served 20 years in the United States Marine Corps and retired as a Major.
While serving in the USMC, he earned multiple special achievements: Rifle expert badge, Pistol expert badge, Letter of commendation, Presidential service badge, Meritorious unit commendation, Letter of appreciation, National defense service medal, Overseas ribbon, Navy commendation medal, Sea service deployment ribbon. He was the pilot of HMX-1 Executive Transport Helicopter for Ronald Reagan and the late George Bush Sr.
Craig married the love of his life, Cindy Smith in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on September 15, 2006. Craig and Cindy shared many good times together in the 15 years they were married.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Molett and Virginia Mae Foster Molett.
He is survived by his daughters, Tricia Molett (New York City, New York), Ashley Baugh (Debary, Florida), Kaitlyn Williamson (Debary, Florida); sons, Matt Molett (Pensacola, Florida), Corey Molett (Pensacola, Florida,) Ryan Burt (Daytona Beach, Florida): grandson, Kaedn Harris (Debary, Florida), Brody Molett(Pensacola, Florida); granddaughter, Samantha Molett (Pensacola, Florida); brother, Mike Molett (Garland, Texas); and sister, Linnae Lockwood (Garland, Texas).
A visitation for Craig will be held Monday, February 25, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 N. New Warrington Road, Pensacola, FL 32506. A funeral service will occur Monday, February 25, 2019 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM. A graveside service with full military honors will immediately follow from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Road, Pensacola, FL 32508.
