Mrs. Purvis was born October 10, 1926 in McDavid, Florida to Charles Stewart and Annie Laura Miller Stewart. She worked for Lerner’s Department Store before she joined the staff of Gayfer’s Department store, from which she retired. Mrs. Purvis is a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dolphia Purvis and daughter, Barbara Lamb.
Survivors include her son, Rick Purvis of Pensacola, FL; granddaughter, Kim Rowe and fiancée Mike Catchings of Debary, FL; grandson, Chad Lamb and wife Sara Michaud of Vienna, Austria; great grandson, Jeremy Rowe and wife Julia Rowe of Santa Fe, TN; and niece, Denise Juarez of Cantonment, FL.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Bayview Memorial Park with Dr. John D. Pavlus officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
