Mazie L. Melvin

Funeral services for Mrs. Mazie L. Parker Melvin will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, June 10, 2018 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel in Pensacola. Jimmy Mashburn will officiate the service. Entombment will follow in Bayview Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the time of the service on Friday at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel.

Mrs. Melvin was born December 15, 1930 in Rabun, AL to Wilburn Parker and Allie Parker. She was a home maker. Mrs. Melvin enjoyed fishing and dancing. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile and the Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She also loved working in her yard and making fig preserves from her prized tree which she would sell to her grateful customers. Mrs. Melvin was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond Melvin, her brothers Ed Parker and Roy Parker and her sisters Allean Paul and Dorothy Kelley.

Mrs. Melvin is survived by her daughters Judy and husband Ronnie Peacock of Bay Minette, AL, Linda and husband John Barnes of Apex, NC and Tammy and husband Jeff Price of Walnut Hill, FL; her son Joe R. Foster, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; her brother Robert Lee Parker of Rabun, AL and numerous nieces and nephews.
