Michael Lee Rush

Michael Lee Anthony Rush of Pensacola, Florida passed away on 29 October 2023 at the age of 63. He was born on 9 August 1960 in Nampa, Idaho. When he was 1 year old, his family moved to Irving, Texas where he and his family lived a happy and exciting life.

Mike graduated from Chester W. Nimitz High School in May of 1979. After high school, Michael joined the U.S. Navy where he became a Dental technician and Field Medical Service Technician. He served with the 3rd Recon Division in Iwakuni, Japan, NAS Corpus Christi, Texas, USS SIMON LAKE, and USS HUNLEY. Michael loved the military and what it stood for. He loved his country and his family and friends. Michael was always there to offer a helping hand to those in need or to offer an ear to those who wanted someone to talk to. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. He loved Chevy Trucks, wood working, boating, family BBQs, and gatherings with friends and loved ones. As a father, he was the warrior and hero. As a husband, he was the knight in shining armor.

Michael is preceded in death by his father, Bob Riley Dunavin. He is survived by his wife - Alice, Daughter - Krystalyn, son – Christopher, mother – Gay, brother – Billy, and sisters -Stacey and Casey.

A visitation for Michael will be held Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, FL 32506.
