Agnes E. Sollberger

Peoria: Agnes E. Sollberger 84, of Peoria passed away at 8:40 a.m. on Saturday October 6, 2012 at OSF St. Clare Homein Peoria.

Agnes was born in Peoria, Illinois on January 14, 1928 the daughter of Edward & Mary (Hoeppner) McIntyre. She married William E. Sollberger in Peoria on September 4, 1948. He preceded her in death on June 14, 1986.

She is survived by two sons, Robert A. (Lisa) of Peoria and William J. (Mary Kay) of Peoria; two daughters, Kathleen M. (Robert) Reed of East Peoria and Patricia ( Miles) Colwell Jr. of Edelstein; one daughter-in-law Deborah R. Sollberger of Peoria; one brother, Bernard (Pat)McIntyre of Sterling; two sisters, Ann (Raymond) Schrader of Tucson, Arizona and Bernice (Robert) Knapp of Washington; fifteengrandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Agnes was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years; one son, Donald L.; three brothers, Francis, John, and James; and two sisters, Dorothy and Margaret.

She was a lifetime member of St. Boniface and a current member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Agnes enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She was a very talented seamstress. She crocheted many afghans that she shared with her family, along with embroidered works each one created with love.

The family would like to thank mom’s special friend Herb at OSF St. Clare Home for his friendship and thoughtfulness; it gave her life purpose and meaning. Thanks, Herb.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday October 10, 2012atSt. Ann Catholic Church. Father Robert Cook will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria from 5-8 p.m.

Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society in honor of her son, Don. Please visit Agnes' story at www.davison-fulton.com.
