I am sorry for your loss.  I never knew Erna or you guys after "Oak Lane."  Yet I have lots of memories of the hoards of kids and the mothers who herded them.  Through my "child's eye" I keep good feelings and respect for Erna.  She was the mother of my friends and we tried her patience sorely.  That alone serves her well in God's blessings.

Just another note. I remember all the fun cookouts and parties we had with Chuck and erna in Pekin and at the burkitts. Also chuck and erna were my god parents. How time flys. Again we are sorry for your loss. Diana Burkitt Daily.

Having worked for Oberlander Electric 38 years I have many found memories of Chuck and Erma. Edna many times asked Harry and Gloria LaHood and Sue and me to entertain at the annual Christmas Party. One year we did a skit on the 12 days of Christmas and had Chuck, Erna, the boys, other long time employees act out the parts. Erna had a ball with doing it. She was always ready for fun. You have our deepest Sympathy

Sorry for the loss of your Mother, she was a great lady. I knew your Mother
from when I lived with your Grandparents Al & Anne Gardner, and I also did
some baby sitting for the four of you when you were little which has been a
long time ago.
I want you to know that I had a Mass said for your Mother Saturday by Msgr.
Michael Bliss the Chaplain at St. Francis Medical Center. I will always remember her. 
I will send a donation to the American Heart Association in her name.

Sorry for your loss! I remember your mother from the good old days, when we all grew up in North Pekin. You have my deepest sympathy.

We are so very sorry to hear that Erna has passed away.  We are grateful that we had the opportunity to spend some time with her in Ft. Myers last winter.  She will be sorely missed by all that knew her.  May all of your memories give you some comfort.
