Passed away quietly of cancer, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit on Monday, August 30, 2010 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Murray Clifford Roberts. Dear mother of June Kerr-Punchard (Brian). Will be sadly missed by her nephews John Weir (Gail), Gary Weir (Dale), Paul Weir (Cathy) and Bob Weir. Edith will be greatly missed by her step-granddaughters and their families who fondly called her Dede. Edith’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Royal Gardens and P.R.H.C.-Palliative care unit for their compassionate care. In accordance with Edith’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service with inurnment will be held at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Peterborough Regional Health Centre would be appreciated by the family.
