It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Helen Dunsby, a wonderful loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on January 9, 2024 at the age of 94. Born in Sunderland, Ontario on November 29, 1929, she was the daughter of the late George and Alice Wright. She is now reunited with her husband of 45 years Robert (Bob) Dunsby (d 1998). She will lovingly be remembered by her daughters, Karen Woodman, Sandra Cross, Lori (Bart) Buller, son Brian Dunsby (Gail) and by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours and lifelong friend Joan Law. Sister of (late) Emily (Don) Wilson, (late) Florrie (Victor) Denning, (late) Annie (Harold) Wilcox, (late) Mary (Tom) Nicholls, (late) Mable (Bill) Doble, (late) Eva (Carl) Umphrey, (late) Isabelle (Jack) Lunney, Marjorie Campbell, Bill (Ethel) Wright and (late) Georgie Wright.
Helen loved to be outside working on her yard, spending time with her family playing cards or board games, caring for her dog Cuddles and baking her famous lemon pies.
Sincere thank you to the staff at St. Joseph’s at Fleming for their kindness, care, support and the dignity you gave her during her 6 1/2 years with you. We took comfort in knowing she was always looked after.
Her kind heart, and infectious laugh will be cherished forever.
Visitation will be held at COMSTOCK-KAYE Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough from 10:00 am to 10:45 am on February 2, 2024 with the service at 11:00 am, reception to follow. Interment at Rosemount Memorial Gardens.
