Jonni Gregson Knox

August 28, 1957March 20, 2020

JONNI GREGSON KNOX Suddenly on Friday, March 20, 2020, in his 63rd year. Dear father of Chelsea Knox (Alex) of Ottawa. Beloved brother of Virginia McWilliams (Dan), Derri Knox (Bonnie), Julie Kayser (Rob), and Rob Knox (Veronica). Predeceased by his parents Gregory and Betty Knox. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Anyone who met Jonni will always remember his kindness, quick wit and gentle spirit. He cherished his summers on Stoney Lake, was a gifted mechanic and talented musician, but without a doubt being a father brought him the most joy. A private celebration will take place at a later date. If desired, donations can be made to the Lakefield Animal Welfare Society. Online condolences can be made at comstockkaye.com

Jonni was my first love. My best memories are from being up at the lake and having family dinners. The girls would help Betsy with dinner and setting the table. Big G would tell us stories and of Course Jonni would make us all laugh with his many one liners and jokes. So much laughter and love was shared at those meals. My Condolences to the entire Knox Family. May you cherish all of the wonderful moments. Love Tonsie. Xo.

So many wonderful memories we shared together over the 50+ years that picking just one is impossible, especially our summers spent on Stoney Lake! We will miss his kind and warm heart, his quick witt and sense of humour and his ability to just make people smile. Jon Boy was a true blessing to everyone he touched.

Jonni was a hugely positive influence in my younger years.
Growing up on Stoney Lake, and spending time with the Knox family while helping them at their marina will always be memories I deeply cherish.
Rest in peace, old friend.

Dear Knox Family - my second family ❤️

Sending all my love to you during this very difficult time. I will always remember the warmth and kindness that Uncle John extended every time I saw him - especially on any of the hundred days when I showed up to the cottage - probably uninvited! ☺️ He was a gentle soul and now he can rest in peace in Heaven with Nana Bets.
Lots and lots of love - especially to Chelsea.
