Kenneth Roy Lywood

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Kenneth Lywood announce his passing on Tuesday March 25,2025 in his 81st year. Left behind is his dear wife and best friend for over 60 years, Gloria (nee Murphy). Ken was a former employee at Raybestos known as aka Pogo, also a former employee at Outboard Marine, also a bowler at Lakeview bowl. Ken was also the loved and adored Dad to Irvine (Beverley), Stephanie Reeds (Gary), Tammy Brooks Church, Kim. Loving and proud Grandpa (Poppa the man) to Andrew Reeds (Shannon), Cameron, Ashley Brown (Justin), Charlene Brooks, Nick Brooks, Jessie Lywood (Michelle), Desiree Brooks, Ryan Brooks, Brandon, Brittany Lackey, Kristin Lackey. Cherished Great Grandpa to 36 and Great Great Grandpa to 1. Special “Brother” to Don O’leary (Sharon), Florence O’Neill, Suzanne O’Leary. Special “Brother in-law” to Gord Murphy (Karin), Dave Murphy (Debbie), Darlene Aucoin. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Lavina O’Leary, Irvine and Geraldine Lywood, Brother Gary Burns, Paul O’Leary, Sister Judy Teel, Mary “Nora” Woodcock, Veronica McGeough, Brother-in-law Paul O’Neill, Ken Teel, James McGeough, Ansel Woodcock, Sister in-law Patrica Smith, Jeanette Burns, Son in-law Charles Brooks, Trevor Church, Granddaughter Kaitlyn Brooks. He will be missed by many Nieces and Nephews.

A Celebration of Life Reception will be held on Sunday May 4, 2025 at the Peterborough Lions Club, 347 Burnham Street, Peterborough from 12-5 pm.
