Sue married Cullen Wyane Currie in September 1972 and was blessed through that union with Cullen’s sons, Wayne and Jon Currie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers Harvey and Paul Hopkins, and sisters Velma Hopkins, Mildred Weeks, and Audrey Clepper. She is survived by Wayne and Jon Currie, nieces Glenda Shed and Sandra Seifert, sisters-in-law Nita and Debbie Hopkins, as well as their families and many friends.
Sue’s vocation was accounting, and she worked in civil service at FT Hood, Texas, and FT Sam Houston, Texas, managing various U.S. Army medical and commissary accounts.
She lived many years in San Antonio, Texas, and most recently in Pflugerville, Texas. She was a faithful and committed Christian, who freely shared her faith.
The funeral service for Arthusia Lee Currie will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. Interment will follow at a later date at FT Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
