Blandy was born in Batangas City, Philippines, on December 25th, 1972. After moving from the Philippines to the U.S. when he was four years old, and a brief stay in Ohio and Indiana, Blandy spent the rest of his childhood and school years in Katy, Texas. Upon relocating to the Austin and Round Rock area in 1994, Blandy began establishing so many of the deep connections and eternal friendships that he has today. On Saturday, November 2nd, 2002, Blandy and Emily Hay were married. They raised two beautiful daughters, Trinity and Hayden.
Anyone close to Blandy knew how much he loved to grill with friends and family, and use his 3D printer as a solution to every problem, no matter how big or small—he may have even invented a few problems just so he could solve them with his 3D printer! At the beginning of the pandemic, Blandy and a group of his Cisco friends and coworkers used their personal 3D printing equipment to make and donate thousands of various PPE to local hospitals and frontline workers. Blandy never said no to anyone that needed help, either at work, or in his personal life. An extremely kind, patient and compassionate man of utmost character, Blandy was absolutely the most dedicated worker, friend, brother, son, husband and father anyone ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Blandy was preceded in passing by his father, Reynaldo De Mesa Ner. He is survived by his mother Brenda Javier Ner, his wife Emily Hay Ner, his two daughters, Trinity Anne Ner and Hayden Elizabeth Ner, his sister Nova Javier Ner and her husband Timothy Ray Graham, and their two children Cade Ethan Ner and Timothy Evan Graham.
