Isabel was an entrepreneur and operated several alteration and sewing businesses throughout her life. She also worked for Dillard’s in the alterations department. Isabel loved her family and spending time outdoors and anywhere there was water, like the ocean.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sixta Tulia (Vasquez) and Luis Israel Luengas; her husband, Jaime Maldonado; her son, Edgar Jaime Maldonado, and her sister, Rosalba Maldonado.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her daughters, Yamile Maldonado Ortiz and Gloria I. Maldonado; grandsons, Jaime E. Pinilla and Pablo A. Castro; and her sisters, Hilda Luengas and Lilia Luengas.
A time of visitation and celebration of Isabel’s life will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 pm at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. A Funeral Mass will follow at 2:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 1520 North Railroad Avenue in Pflugerville.
