May 19, 1935May 24, 2013

Jonathan Frederick Koosmann went home to Heaven Friday, May 24th, 2013 after his two children arrived from North Texas and Colorado.

Born May 19, 1935 in Forest Township, St. Croix County, Wisconsin, Jonathan was the son of Olga and Ruben Koosmann. He was an active member of Hospitality Accountants Association since 1967 and was employed by hotels and hotel companies in several states. In more recent years, he was employed by non-profit associations as the financial professional. Jonathan was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran church where he supported many Ministries.

Jonathan married Rose Carpenter on September 16, 1955, several years after they graduated from Brighton Colorado High School.

Jonathan was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Susanne. He is survived by his wife, Rose; a son, Brad; and a daughter, Cherise; who will miss him dearly, as well as, his two grandsons, Logan and Quinton.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, any Lutheran School or Service Group, or to Cancer Research.

A memorial service honoring Jonathan’s memory will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1500 W. Anderson Lane, Austin.

Dear Rose, I am saddened to learn of John's passing, having known you both through IAHA/HFTP for so many years. He truly was one of the "good guys" one meets in this life. My thoughts are with you and your family.

June 15, 2013

I thought of you with love today, as I so often do.
I miss you so, but then I know the peace you have is true.

I asked the Lord, Dear God please. Will you give me a sign.
So I can know my daddy knew he'd be loved for all time.

And as I looked up, to the sky, but not to my surprise.
I saw one star that shined so bright, and twinkled like your eyes.

I knew right then you'd made it home. And you were safe and sound. And I was filled with warmth and love and all the peace abound.

I thought of you with love today. And though we're now apart. I know God holds you by his side. And I hold you in my heart.

I miss you daddy.
Happy Fathers Day. I love you
