

Loraine Hayes, 86, of Round Rock, TX passed away peacefully on Thursday, August, 7, 2025. She was born on September 7, 1938 near Chapel Hill, TX to Leon and Pearl (Krolczyk) Kwiatkowski. She grew up in Houston, TX, graduating from Incarnate Word Academy in 1957, and later attended art school to follow her passion as an artist.
On June 6, 1959 she married Noel Aaron Hayes in Houston, TX. They shared a deep love and commitment to each other for 66 years. Together they raised their three daughters (Debbie, Kathy, and Susan) in Lake Jackson, TX. As a stay-at-home mother, she devoted her life to taking care of her family, making many delicious home-cooked meals, and ensuring her family was grounded in their Catholic faith and Christian values. She a was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, where she attended daily mass and was an active member of the Ladies Club, faithfully serving others, and following Jesus’ example, through her years of dedicated volunteer work. Later in life, Loraine moved to Round Rock, TX. to be closer to family and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Austin, TX.
God blessed Loraine with many talents, and she lived them to the fullest. She was an artist, cook, gardener and seamstress. Her home was filled with the warmth and beauty of her oil paintings. Some of her religious works were donated to the Catholic Church, where they continue to reflect her deep love for Christ. Loraine also enjoyed gardening. Her garden was a place of peace and beauty, overflowing with colorful daylilies and roses.
Survivors include her husband, Noel Aaron Hayes of Round Rock, TX; daughters Debbie (Chris) Faggard of Cypress, TX; Kathy (Britt) Denning of Round Rock, TX; and Susan (Scott) Murphy of Round Rock, TX; seven grandchildren, Austin, Chase and Abbey Faggard, Madison (Evan) Coleman, Nick (Sara) Murphy, and Ethan and Alex Denning; one sister-in-law, Cindy Douglass, and two nephews, James and Joe Douglass. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 17, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 18th, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 9500 Neenah Avenue, Austin, TX. Following the service, a procession will accompany her to her final resting place at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery. After the burial, a catered lunch will be served at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home.
