Loyce Elene (Owen) Linebarger, age 90, of Pflugerville, Texas passed away on April 24, 2018. Loyce was born on March 19, 1928 to William Luther and Elsie Owen in Lee County at her Grandparents farm between Elgin and McDade. Loyce grew up in McDade and Cedar Park. She graduated from Leander High in 1945.
Loyce married Elvin Moore in 1946. After Elvin was discharged from the military after being wounded in Pearl Harbor, they settled in Austin and raised their two sons, Franklin “Wayne” and Linden Moore.
Loyce married Samuel “Pat” Linebarger on November 22, 1983 after Elvin passed away from cancer in 1980.
Loyce was the beloved grandmother to Shauna (Moore) Hamby and her husband Jamie of Round Rock and Krystal (Moore) Kriczky and her husband Chris of Hutto. And her great grandchildren Tyler and Trent Hamby and Carson and Kallie Kriczky. Loyce was also very special to Shannon (Moore) Hildenburg and Pat (Hill) Moore. She is survived by her son’s Wayne and Linden Moore, Stepchildren Jim (Becky) Linebarger, Brenda (Drew) Kilburn, Linda (James) Holloway and Tricia (Richard) Blake and numerous grandchildren.
Loyce was a dedicated and hard worker. She worked for the Texas Highway Department for 14 years before retiring in 1985. Loyce was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother and she was proud of her family. Loyce loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She would spend hours cooking and preparing for her company. Loyce enjoyed vacationing and taking long road trips with her late husband Pat. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. Funeral services take place directly after the visitation at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel followed by an interment in Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
