She was born in Watertown, NY, March 16, 1933 to Mary and John Joseph Musselman. The 4th of eight children – Francis, John, Kathrine, Mary, Bernard, Norine, Thomas, and Gerald.
Her husband, Elwyn, and son, Tom preceded her to heaven. Mary is also survived by one brother, John, and 4 of her 5 children – Nancy (Ockrin), Tim, Jerry and Nadine (Barley). She was blessed with 19 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
After graduating from high school Mary obtained her Cosmetology/Beautician degree and began a life long career as a beautician. Shortly after graduation she met Elwyn (Mac) her husband of 47 years - married 6 February 1954. Together, they raised five children in Vestal, NY, giving them a firm foundation of education, faith and family. Amazingly adept and competent, Mary was equally comfortable laying tile or upholstering furniture, as she was cutting hair. Her steadfastness in faith eventually rubbed off on her children, as they each found and flourished in their own relationship with God.
Mary was a devout Catholic. Her most recent parish attendance was St. Elizabeth’s of Hungary in Pflugerville. She loved to serve her neighbors, church, and community wherever she lived. Mary and Mac spent 3 years in Round Rock, Texas and 20 years in Melbourne, Florida.
She was greatly loved and will be sorely missed by her children.
