Sharon Gayle Little Strauss, a beloved wife and mother, passed away on July 16th, 2018. After bravely battling long-term illness, she was mercifully called home to our Lord, taking her place among the angels. The daughter of James and Geraldine Little, Sharon was born in Morrilton, Arkansas, on September 21, 1952. She resided in Pflugerville, Texas, for the last 18 years with her loving husband, Mark Strauss. Sharon was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and caretaker to all who needed her.
Sharon loved the small town of Sperry, OK, where she was raised, became head cheerleader, and was crowned Miss Sperry. She was proud to be involved in her children’s and grandchildren's lives as well as in the lives of her nieces and nephews. Whether it be coordinating plays, putting on talent shows, or attending pageants, baseball games, bowling tournaments, band concerts, modeling adventures, ice skating lessons, and trips to the beach, her dedication and support to her family never waned. She lovingly opened her home to family members, friends, and outsiders, always willing to help those in need. She also enjoyed planning special events such as lavish themed birthday parties and extravagant holiday celebrations. Christmas was her favorite holiday--a time when she enjoyed lavishing gifts upon friends and family members and is remembered as thoughtful and generous. Her adventurous spirit and charisma made every gathering magical.
Sharon was a true entrepreneur, having owned many businesses throughout her life including, an interior decorating company, a coffee shop and a party planning and catering business. Sharon’s biggest fan, supporter and love of her life, who helped make all things possible was always her husband. She LOVED football and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys’ fan. Her family and friends knew her as a woman of beauty, grace, style and class. She created vibrant memories for all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband Mark Strauss; children Jamie Anderson, Trey Robinson, Austin Strauss and Taylor Moss; sisters Kayce Little-Geer, Geri Little-Willard and Carla Little-Horrocks; 8 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Sharon was, is, and always will be cherished and loved by many!
