I served with Bob during Operation Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia/Iraq.   Bob was a brave and fearless Soldier who served with honor and distinction our country.   You are missed by your buddies in the 101st Military Police Company, 101st Airborne Division.  Rest in Peace Bob,

Bob was one of the first managers I had in my professional career. I remember at one point he was on the verge of firing me within my first year. But Bob vouched for me and told me he saw my potential. Needless to say, 15 years later I am still with the company and I have Bob to thank for that.  I will never forget our chats, listening to him on the phone laughing it up. I would start chuckling to myself just because he had an infectious laugh. He loved his wife, kids and grand daughter deeply. There was never a time he wasn't telling me a story about them, or telling me about his son Josh being a pain in the butt. HAHA, but there's nothing he wouldn't do for his family. That is one of the things I admired about Bob the most. A family man, and always stuck up for his team. Too many memories to share here but on this day I am thinking of you Bob and hoping you are resting in heaven; no longer suffering. I am wishing his family nothing but peace and love and know that his Troxell family misses him dearly. 

Bob was a true friend and my Troxell right hand man.

Like Josh Collins, I worked with Bob over the past 3 years.  Josh interacted with Bob much more than I, but I still spoke with him regularly and traded emails constantly.  Bob is exactly a year and one day older than me so I will always remember him as I approach my own birthday.  He made such and impact on not only me, but all those he worked with in our business world.  He was nothing but a consummate professional, and carried a positive "can do" attitude into everything he touched.  As Josh eluded to, even when he was working from home or in the hospital you would never know it by the work he put in.  I never even had a hint of any health issues or the fact that he was on oxygen until I met him finally, face to face, at our annual sales conference.  He just didn't talk about it nor did he want to burden others, but rather lived to be of service.  Of all the souls I've touch in my life his was the most genuine, caring and loving.  He talked of family and friends often and the love and joy all brought to him.  He often commented about how blessed he was to be surrounded by such wonderful friends and family.  No Bob, we were all blessed and our lives made better for knowing you!  He will remain one of the most inspirational people I have ever met and will be dearly missed...both from a business standpoint and a friendship one.  What we have lost, Heaven has gained and I'm sure it will run much smoother with him there.  Thank you for your friendship Bob!  It meant more to me than you will ever know!  

Bob was a rock that I relied upon everyday. He was my customer service rep at Troxell/Summit for the last three years, but much more than that he was a friend and an asset to my life. I had the pleasure of speaking with him everyday on the phone. Over the last 12 years in the A/V Industry I have rarely come upon an individual who had so much drive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people he worked with. Not once did I hear Bob complain about his condition, he took was he was given in stride and was an source of inspiration every time I talked to him on the phone. I would often forget that he was on oxygen and working from home because he solved issues so quickly, effectively and without complaint. Recently his dog bit through his oxygen tube and he casually let me know he had to get off the phone, like it was no big deal. He always had my back, even when he was in the hospital I would hear from him. With all that being said, what impacted me the most about Bob was his love for his family and do everything in his power to do what he could for them, even while attached to a tank of oxygen. We discussed our Father's Day this past June and his joy, his treasure, was a card from his Granddaughter.  He explained that her Dad was not in her life and that she wrote him a sweet card stating that she wished she had a Dad like Bob. Of all the things we discussed over the years this one act from his Granddaughter meant more to him than anything else. As Bob put it, "It melted my heart."
Thank you Bob for all you gave. I will miss our laughs and our talks. You might have physically left this plain of existence, but what you gave and who you were lives on in the hearts that you touched. 

I remember the family photo we all had with our parents as well as your brothers and aunts and uncles... we didnt talk much Bob, but I'll miss you.
