Yee Sun Loy Mo
May 13, 1917 – April 13, 2018
Yee-Sun Loy Mo, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 13, 1917, in Mui Yuen, Canton, China. The second oldest of seven siblings, Yee married her husband, Kwok Sing Mo in 1935 and they raised their children in China and later in Hong Kong. They immigrated to the United States in 1982 and have lived in Phoenix since. She loved gardening, cooking for her family, playing mahjong, watching animal shows on TV, watching The Price is Right and Young and the Restless on weekday mornings, watching the Suns and soccer games, and traveling back to Hong Kong and China to visit relatives and friends.
Yee was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kwok Sing Mo, sons Fan Mo, Pat Mo and Wah Mo and daughter-in-law Yip Hung Ying. She is survived by her daughters Mui Kiu Mo (Shu Tak Lam) and Kwai Kiu Mo (Warren Fong), daughter in-law Po Chu Cheung and sons Michael Mo (Jenis) and Johnny Mo (Pauline). She is also survived by her 22 grandchildren: Shuen Mo, Sim Mo, Luen Mo, Dick Mo, Bonnie Mo, Johnny Mo, Connie Mo, Flora Lam, Albert Lam, Fung Lam, Christina Mo, Candy Mo, Sandra Mo, Sherry Lo, Queenie Tsang, Karen Fong, Justin Fong, Alain Mo, Irene Mo, Fai Mo, Terry Yee, and Hana Nicaj. Additionally, she had 23 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Greenwood Memory Lawn, Serenity Chapel. 719 N. 27th Avenue. Phoenix, Arizona 85009. Visitation is at 10am, and service at 11am.
