Gerald Lee Kamprath, age 80 of Plano, Texas passed away on Wednesday afternoon, October 23, 2019 at his home under the care of Comfort Hospice.

Gerald was born on October 28, 1938 in Seward, Nebraska, a son of his father: Martin Kamprath and his mother: Irma Firnharber.

Gerald married Marcia Anne Keller on April 11, 1971 in Hollywood, California. Marcia surives in Plano. Gerald is also survived by four children: Michael Kamprath of Waller, Texas, Christa (husband Chasz) of Chanhassen, Minnesota, Jeff (wife Tracy) Kamprath of Chapel Hill, Texas, and Paul Kamprath of Taos, New Mexico.

Eight grandchildren: Claire Parker, Chris (wife Rachel) Kamprath, Chloe Parker, Charles (wife Kristina) Parker, Matt Kamprath, Bethany (husband Cody) Gibbs, Charis (fiance Samuel) Parker, and Cullen Parker. Three great grandchildren: Eathen, Owen, and Charlotte.

Many other family members and relatives survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Martin Kamprath and Irma Kamprath, one brother: Wilmar Kamprath and one sister: Margie Kamprath Edwards.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, located at 2128 18th Street, Plano, Texas 75074.

The funeral service and celebration of Gerald's life will follow at 1:00 PM also at Ted DIckey Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Plano Mutual Cemetery in Plano, Texas.

After the commital service at Plano Mutual Cemetery, a reception will be held back at Ted Dickey Funeral Home reception area.

Ted Dickey Funeral Home in Plano, Texas has charge of arrangements.
