Jettie Mae Harris was born in Macon, Georgia on August 19, 1954 to the late Lester and Neda Mae Love. She entered Heaven’s gates on September 3, 2020.

Jettie was an exceptional wife and mother who cared deeply for her husband and son. Jettie dedicated her life to her family and she never missed the opportunity to tell them how much she loved them.

Jettie will be remembered for her love of all things Christmas. It was not uncommon for Jettie to put up her Christmas tree before September, in fact, it was expected. Her sisters grew to love this tradition and would often follow suit in the Christmas festivities shortly after. One can only imagine how her heavenly home must look!

Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Jettie’s family rests in peace and comfort knowing God’s promises remain and that they will see her again one day.

Jettie is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Dr. Dwight Harris and their son, Dwight Lester Harris, Jr. of Allen, Texas; sisters, Eloise Norton and husband, Bert Norton of Allen, Texas; Lorene Hughes and husband, Robert Hughes of Rockwall, Texas; Margie King and husband, Matt King of Melissa, Texas and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents Lester and Neda Mae Love and brother, Carroll Love.

A visitation for Jettie will be held Monday, September 7, 2020 at 9:00 AM at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, Plano, Texas. Following the visitation will be an interment at 11:00 AM at Plano Mutual Cemetery, Plano, Texas.
