Nina was born on February 27, 1925 in Franklin, New York.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Rettberg, and her son, Rodney Rettberg.
Nina is survived by daughter, Susan Harmon, three grandchildren, Stephanie Harmon of Wichita Kansas, Mark Harmon and spouse Jessica Harmon of Edmond Oklahoma, and Marsi Rettberg of Denver Colorado, and eight great grandchildren, Ryan, Justin, Samuel and Averi Ziegelbein, and Abigail, Brandon, Joshua and Collin Harmon.
Nina married Myron on September 17, 1944. While he served in the Navy, Nina worked at Keith Clark, Inc., paper factory in Sidney, New York as a secretary. Nina served as a Sunday School Teacher, VBS Director, and Sunday School Director at First Baptist Church in Sidney New York until the 1960s. Nina became a full-time pastor’s wife when Myron was called into Christian ministry following Myron’s graduation from the Denver Seminary in 1966. She served alongside her husband in two churches in New Hampshire from 1966 to 1981. They subsequently moved to Texas where Nina served in various positions of ministry with Myron at Culleoka Baptist Church, Lucas Baptist Church, and First Baptist Church, Princeton. She also worked as director and teacher at DeGroot’s Private School in Plano, Texas during the 1980’s and 1990’s.
Even though she was retired, Nina continued to serve in her church and community, leading a Tuesday morning ladies community Bible study for many years.
A private family burial service was held on Friday, July 10, 2020 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery where Nina was laid to rest with her husband Myron Rettberg.

A Celebration of Nina's Life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Culleoka Baptist Church, located at 3052 FM 982 Princeton, Texas 75407.
