Vincent William Wolniewicz passed away at home on August 21, 2019 with family at his side. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 7, 1943, the first of two children, to Violet Hayes and Vincent Wolniewicz. On July 22, 1946, his parents left Chicago with two kids and $20, they ended up settling in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. After graduating from Rhinelander High School, he enlisted in the US Air Force and did 4 years of Active Duty which consisted of deployments in Europe and Africa. After his 4 years in the service, he got out and pursued a career in Communications and 12 years later he joined the Air National Guard where he completed 20 years of service, retiring as a Master Sergeant. In 1968 he met and married his wife Carol on December 7th, the same day as both of their birthdays. Over the years he lived in several states such as Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Nebraska, and California, he finished out the last 25 years in the great state of Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol (Cahill), his daughter Krystal Kenney (John), sister Mary Beth Kaminski (Ed), granddaughters Kayla and Kandace Kenney, numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Vincent is preceded in death by his daughter, Nikole Wolniewicz; as well as his parents Vincent and Violet (Hayes) Wolniewicz. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, fighter and an American Patriot that will be greatly missed.
