She was born second oldest of 10 siblings on August 3, 1913 in Bulloch County, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her sister Anna Lee, and brothers Coy, James and Bill.
She is survived by her sisters, Hazel, Wildred and Nina and brothers Wendy and Leonard. She leaves behind one son, Wayne Vaughn (Jean); grandchildren: Mike, Bruce (Lynda), Donna Boayan; great grandchildren: Jamie, Rheana, Meagan, Kailey, Wyatt, and four great-great grandchildren.
