Plant City, FL - Jay Roland Burrill, 86, died suddenly March 27, 2019 at Glufside Hospice. He was born May 13, 1932, in Saginaw, MI, the son of Roy and Iva May (Pittsford) Burrill. Jay retired from General Motors, Saginaw, MI after working there for 25 years. Jay married his one and only love Ernestine Duby and they settled in their first home in Saginaw, MI. They celebrated over 49 years of marriage. Jay was a member of the Lebanon Church, N Forbes Rd, Plant City, FL. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Ernestine. More members of Jays family are, Linda (Burrill) and Charles Barefoot(deceased)of Plant City FL, Betty (Burrill) and Gavin Woolever, of Plant City, FL, Marie (Burrill) Turner, Michael Turner (deceased), of Mt. Pleasent, MI, Joe Burrill of Beaverton, MI, Roy Burrill (deceased) of Plant City, FL. Seven grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. Jays brothers include Bud, Russ, Dick (all deceased) and Gary of Hemlock, MI. and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2019 at Wells Memorial and Event Center, 1903 West Reynolds St, Plant City, FL. Services will be held 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2019 also at Wells. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, 2501 Paul Buchman Hwy, Plant City, FL. following the services. Those wishing to attend the interment are reminded to obey all traffic lights, signs and regulations. Arrangements and questions are being handled by Wells Memorial and Event Center, Plant City.
