Peacefully at her home in the evening of July 6. Born in Montreal. Daughter of Victor Parsons and Gladys Mallett. Caring sister of Ralph and Eric. Loved dearly by her husband of 64 years, Donald and mother of Glenn (June), Sue-Anne (Scott) and Sheryl (Kevin). Loving grandmother of Eric, Sean, Kelsey, Cathryn, Delaney, Amanda, Jesse, Alexander and Mackenzie.
Carol spent her whole career employed with the Lakeshore School Board, now the Lester B. Pearson School Board. Starting as an elementary school teacher for many years, she eventually ended her career spearheading the implementation of the integration program for children of special needs that is recognized as one of the best programs of its type in the province. However, her greatest accomplishment was as a wife and mother. A cornerstone of the family, she guided and supported her husband and children to their own successful families and careers. She will be sadly missed, and happily remembered.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the CLSC and NOVA West Island for their care, compassion, and support during these difficult times. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol’s name to Nova West Island would be appreciated.
A visitation is scheduled for Monday, July 13 from 2-5 pm at Collins Clarke McGillivray White Funeral Home, 222 Autoroute 20, Pointe-Claire, Quebec.
