Josephine Anne Pulice Dinnell who was born in Newark, New Jersey, to Frank Pulice and Josephine Belverio Pulice, left her earthly home on August 8, 2019 in Boise, Idaho, where she had lived for the past three years. Josephine graduated from Westside High School in Newark, and married Anthony Clyde Dinnell (divorced/deceased)on June 14, 1941. Josephine and her family moved from Newark to Miami, Florida in 1954.
For many years, Josephine worked as a sample maker in the garment industry, and she carried a love of sewing with her throughout her life. In her retirement, she joined the American Sewing Guild where she sewed pillows, blankets and baby beanies which were donated to patients at Coral Springs Hospital. For many years, Josephine was also active in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Chapter XI.
Josephine was pre-deceased by her brothers, Vincent “Jim” Pulice, and Frank Pulice, and by her sister, Marie Pulice Pardini. She is survived by her children, Patricia Anne Finley (Greg)and Anthony Clyde Dinnell (Claudia), and her brother Gaetano “Tom” Pulice (Ruth), as well as five grandchildren (Angela Dinnell Eliason, Daniel Haze Dinnell, Allison Dinnell Whittle, Guy Finley and Garrett Finley, 14 great-grandchildren, and her nieces, nephews, cousins and her many “friends who were family” to her.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 1980 until her death, Josephine will now rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pompano Beach, Florida. A service celebrating her life will be held in the chapel at Forest Lawn on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 11:00 am. There will also be a celebration of her life in Boise, Idaho at a future date.
Josephine was loved by her many friends and family for her strength, courage, compassion and love of family, and she will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
