Dorothy Jean Walls, age 91, passed away at Pontotoc Nursing Home on Monday, July 2, 2018. She was born September 26, 1926 to Arthur Rosell Grisham and Eunice Williford Grisham. She was a retired Registered Nurse at Pontotoc Hospital and served as the Director of Nursing at the Pontotoc Nursing Home for several years. She was a member of Algoma Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, reading, working word puzzles, cooking and trying new recipes.
Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Murray Galloway officiating; burial will be in Pontotoc Memorial Gardens. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her daughters, Patti L. Williams (Mitch), and Jacque Moore, both of Pontotoc, MS; her sister, Dora Lee Morris of Pontotoc; four grandchildren, Trey Aron, Jean Ann Austin, April Adams and Marcus Williams; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, W.T. Walls; two sons, Terry Douglas Walls and Michael Scott Walls; a sister, Helen Simmons and a brother, Russell Grisham.
Pallbearers will be Trey Aron, Ben Brewer, Marcus Williams and Paul Anders, Jason Raush and Jeffery Todd.
Visitation will be from 12 to 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
