I loved everything about Aunt Dot. Her charm, her wit, her feisty sprit. She was genteel but boy was she blunt. I can still picture her face when she didnt like something. "That woman is screeching like a cat." She said when I had a Celine Dion cd playing at my house. "Can we turn that off?"
I will forever cherish my memories of her, especially when I get a whiff of Dove soap. I remember staying at her house a few times when I was an adolescent and there was always a pink bar of Dove in the bathroom. Once, when Val and I were staying with them, she and uncle Pete took us to a diner, I don't remember ever going out to eat before that. What a treat.
